Wrong war "Grim Reaper
Spray-painted stencil on cardboard. Bears five stickers.
99 x 69.5 cm approx. (Signs of wear, three small holes in the middle of the work as it was attached to a survey during the demonstration)
Banksy created a number of different signs for the 2003 London demonstration against the war in Iraq, but few originals have survived. There's no way of telling, but there were very few demonstrations to begin with. The Studio distributed the boxes to the artist's friends who participated in the anti-war march in 2003 to create a viral presence on the march).
