Grebo style mask Ivory Coast Wood, feathers, pigments, raffia Height : 68 cm Oblong mask built around an assembly of geometric volumes, balanced on a flat panel. The sharp edge of the long nose divides the composition into two parts between five pairs of tubular eyes, the edges of which are enhanced with white and blue pigments. The eyes are surmounted on each side by an anthropomorphic head with a large bun, mounted on a tubular cylinder. Below the eyes, on each side, is a stylized representation of a hornbill with a sagittal crest and a long beak stretched downwards. At the level of the mouth, there is an arm positioned at a right angle and presenting a hand that rises towards the middle of the mask. GREBO STYLE - MASK 68 CM
