Luba style statue - Lot 266
Luba style statue
Democratic Republic of Congo
Wood
H : 18 cm
The expression of this cup bearer is one of contemplation. In profile, the ovoid forehead is extended at the back by the hairstyle. The face develops almond-shaped open eyes under a wide, rounded forehead, with arched eyebrows. The refined nose, the mouth with its hemmed lips and the curvilinear pavilion of the ears punctuate the face.
