Baule style mask - Lot 83
Baule style mask
Ivory Coast
Wood
Height : 46 cm
Mask with half-closed eyes slit at an angle in a serene attitude. The aquiline nose with hemmed wings is in the prolongation of a small mouth carried forward. Despite the details, the beard and the jagged hair, here is no identical replica, we are trying to sublimate.
The mask is topped by four animal horns, symbols of power.
