Lot of three objects, a Djenne style statuette, two heads, o - Lot 38

Lot of three objects, a Djenne style statuette, two heads, one in terracotta in Djenne style, the other in stone Mali H: 25; 22 and 11 cm In a posture of humility corresponding to classical Djenne iconography, this Djenne-style statuette seems to be probing the sky, face raised towards it, both hands placed on the same thigh, the left. This is probably a high-ranking figure, given the ornaments on the necklaces and bracelets on the wrists and biceps. The face is covered with a series of scarifications. Under the chest an animal has curled up against his body, the head under the heart, the tail going up to under the right arm. Small stone head with powerful features in relief, the face magnified by a sophiticized headdress. Long face with delicate features in an orange terracotta with slightly darker brown shades.
