Kongo fetish style statuette Democratic Republic of Congo - Lot 37
Kongo fetish style statuette Democratic Republic of Congo
Wood
Height : 24 cm
Male figure with a light brown patina in orange tones, the facial features are similar to the Kongo Vili style, with powerful features enhanced by the play of volumes and reliefs. The rounded shoulders contrast with the rigor of the angular forms of the lower body, rectangular feet, knees marked by a strict linearity. The belly supports a typical load. Replacement object copied from the ancient Kongo.
